I have the sims 3, and its a mac/win version it bogs either platform down so much that it's just not as enjoyable as sims2. Microsoft must have coded this version since it has so much bloat. Works like butter with all of the add ons on my I7 machine with 8 cores - And that is with windows 7. Read my rant where you said you can't polish a turd once again about Apple not catching up with pcs as of yet as that sounds like what may be your problem.

READ THE POST YOU QUOTED, it bogs down BOTH platforms compared to Sims 2. Its the first sentence if you need me to map it out for you

I probably shouldn't have said bogs down, but it does run significantly slower than Sims 2 Thats usual for most next edition games I think sims 1 is faster then sims 2 on the same hardware i bet. I know my copy of neverwinter nights was faster then neverwinter nights 2. this is just the norm in sequels.

Just got a message from the sims 2 makers - On March 31st, The Sims™ 2 Store will be closing its doors. Any content purchased from The Sims 2 Store will no longer be available for re-download after this date.
