It is sweet so far I have a 5 meg connection and updating it took about 20 or 30 minutes to download the firmware. It also comes with Chrome as well

The only fees I have paid for is about 80 bucks for a windows program called playon.tv that allows me to play hulu content from my computer to the google tv since hulu and other tv streaming sites like to block showing streamed tv on real tvs since it hurts their main revenue of charging for eyeballs
I also have netflix as well but had that before the tv as well as pandora, etc.

No other fees unless you want to subscribe to some of their premium services.

Only problem I am having at the moment is getting rovi , thats the tv guide for the internal tuner to show my guide data but it says it may take a full day with the tv turned off to update that

Found my guide problem Seems to get my over the air channels in the guide I had to unplug the dvr box from google tv and plug the antenna in to it to trick the guide into setting the right time for it. I'll know if it works tomorrow as it takes a day to populate the guide.

I think I am turning in to an android freak since I got my google tv I find myself subscribing to podcasts and watching them on Google tv as well as hooking up my wdtv live plus player with an hdmi cable and watching some of my recorded shows on it that way

I even so far subscribed to about 3 of twit tv's videocasts I think as well as a podcast called the google tv show that I found when looking for google tv podcasts

Update on the google tv - Only 1 update to the firmware since I have had it but it works great most of the time. Every once in a while I will have a crash in chrome but it's rare. Still waiting for the 3.1 update.
